Exceptional holidays on a farm

Camping on a farm is unique! Now when do you get the chance to really get a taste of Dutch farm life? The children can have fun all day long: helping the farmer feed the animals, tasting fresh milk, making butter and jam, making yoghurt. By the end of the holiday, the children will know exactly how milk gets into the pack in the supermarket and how eggs end up in an egg box. A unique experience for the kids!
But, there is also plenty to play on the farmyard: there are go-karts, sandboxes and trampolines! And you can play hide-and-seek all day long, frolic in the haystack and, last but not least, build tree houses. A holiday on the farm is fun and educational at the same time!

Small-scale holidays: away from the crowds

You will find our small-scale accommodations in the most beautiful places in the Netherlands. They are small, cosy and always pleasant. You have all the peace and quiet you need. Our glamping tents are not close together so you have enough privacy. Moreover, you can see the children playing in the yard or in the playground from afar.

Moreover, the activities are always done with all the children present. This is great fun for the children because they quickly make friends and can then go off together to groom the horses, pet the goats or simply play in the yard.

Unique holiday among animals

On the farm, you sleep among cows, calves, rabbits and sheep. And you also get to help the farmer look after these animals. How about shearing the sheep, feeding the goats, helping milk the cows and brushing the horses? On a FarmCamps farm you can express all your animal love, that’s why camping at the farm is so unique! You can even book a glamping tent on an alpaca or horse farm.

Special accommodations

Our tents are different. Not only because they are located on a real farm, but also because they are just that little bit different from the average glamping tent. For example, you can choose from a tent with a cosy sleeping loft or a tent with a bath trailer where you can take a bath at the end of the day. Some tents even have a hay house; this is a playhouse and bed box in one. Add to this the fact that you wake up among alpacas, cows and horses. A unique experience for the children and of course a bit for the parents too.

Frequently asked questions about our FarmCamps farms

How is the tent furnished?

Our tents are fully furnished and fully equipped. Of course, you will sleep in nice beds and in each tent there is a large dining table and a relaxing sofa. In the kitchen, there is a gas cooker, running water, a small fridge and a good espresso machine. And, of course, plenty of kitchen inventory. Many of our tents also have an outdoor fireplace. So you can also enjoy the outdoors in the evening.

Good to know: there is no microwave or oven in the tent.

Are the farms located throughout the Netherlands?

You can book farm holidays all over the country. From Zeeland to Friesland and from Limburg to North Holland. But you also have the choice whether you want a farm by the sea, in the middle of the countryside or near a forest or lake, for example. There is always a farm that suits your needs!

How small-scale are holiday parks really?

The size of FarmCamps farms varies. The smallest FarmCamps farm has 8 tents and the largest has 25 tents.

Do I actually have wifi during a farm holiday?

Do I have to bring my own towels?

Towels are unfortunately not included in the price. You can of course bring them yourself, but you can also order a handy towel pack with one large and one small towel for €5.

Should I bring my own bed linen?

The sleeping rooms are fully equipped with duvets and pillows and clean bed linen. You pay €6.50 per person for bed linen for the entire stay.

At some farms, you can also opt for the Farmers’ Bed-making service. For €6 per bed, your beds will then be made up before your arrival.

Does every farm have the same play equipment?

Every FarmCamps farm has different play equipment and play facilities. But, there is always something for young and old to play with. Every FarmCamps farm has an Animal Meadow and/or Cuddle Barn.

Can we join the activities with the whole family?

Children aged 6 or older can participate independently in almost all FarmCamps activities (unless otherwise indicated). Children under 6 may also participate in FarmCamps activities, but under the supervision of parents or a sibling aged 13 or older.

How do I easily book my holiday at FarmCamps?

It is easy to find your ideal accommodation on our special book page. Choose your province, farm type and tent type and quickly navigate to your favourite accommodation. Handy: you can also select by facilities and activities.
