The May holidays are ideal for getting away from it all in the Netherlands. Enjoy warm temperatures, sunshine and beautiful nature. And where better than on a real farm? Newborn animals, a nap in the hammock, watching the cows graze in the meadow….We would know!
Pick spring on the farm!
Most schools add an extra week off to the official holiday week. So it could just be that you have a lovely two weeks off from King's Day. Or maybe until Ascension! Plenty of time at least to get away from it all in your own country.

The best horses are not in stables but at FarmCamps! We have a number of farms where pony fans can ride, brush and cuddle to their hearts' content. Sometimes there is even the possibility of getting a grooming pony and riding lessons.
Our tents are fully furnished and equipped with all conveniences. Nice beds, a nice sofa and a kitchen with espresso machine. The Ranchtents have a private bathroom with bath and shower next to the tent. The Farmtents, Barntents and Lodgetents even have a bathroom in the tent. How nice is it to enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of a holiday villa? Right... And all this just in the Netherlands!
Cuddling is nowhere as high as on the farm. The rabbits, goats, horses and sheep cannot wait for hugs from you. Who doesn't get happy with all those fluffy, soft skins and all that animal love?

You should not be surprised if you 'lose' the kids whole day periods. In fact, the children can have a great time on the farm by themselves. They can go out with the farmer, make new friends and look after the animals. There is also always plenty to play with in the yard: go-karts, trampolines, sandboxes!
Camping at the farm is also an ideal holiday for busy parents. You get away from the daily grind for a while. Reading a book, walking or running in the area or sneaking an afternoon nap in the hay? It's all possible on the farm.
We don't have to be modest about this, because it's simply true: our farmers really are the nicest in the Netherlands! All ready to explain you all about farm life and take the kids out on the road.
In our tents, there are a lot of games. So if the weather is disappointing, you can entertain yourself for hours in the tent. Is your holiday really threatening to fall into the water? Then take advantage of our Good Weather Guarantee and rebook your holiday for free.
Camping is not 'cramping'. All our tents are specially designed this way for guests who need to get used to camping. Or just for the pros who now want to try out that so-called 'glamping' once to see if it really differs that much.
And it does... All tents have their own toilet in the tent as well as standard heating, lovely beds and a kitchen with a gas cooker and running water.
If you want a little more comfort, check out our tents with private shower and/or bath.
Of course, your farming adventure is only complete if you also learn something on the farm. And our farmers personally make sure that happens, topping it off with a well-deserved Farmers' Diploma.
So one day you'll be taking the cows out to pasture and the next day you'll be milking them. Or shear a sheep in Mariekerke and brush one of the many sweet ponies on our horse farms.

Finished cooking, baking and learning a lot about the farm? Then straight on to the swings, trampoline, go-karts or dive into the well-stocked games box in the tent. So, plenty to do!
