FarmCamps vacation checklist

I'm going on holiday and I'm taking...

When you go on vacation, of course you want to be well prepared. And especially with the current circumstances, it is important to pay attention to a number of things. Therefore, we have already made a list of what you will need on the farm. There are a number of things you should definitely bring, or at least we recommend it…

  • Extra towels/tea towels and hand soap. Because of Corona, we ask everyone to wash their hands regularly. Bringing extra hand soap and an extra set of towels and tea towels from home is always a good idea now!
  • Rain boots/ old shoes. After all, you are on the farm, mud-free we can't guarantee ;-).
  • Cash, as pin is not available on all farms. Of course, in these times we have that you prefer to pay with pin or tikkie, but sometimes there really is no other way on the farm.
  • Groceries. Breakfast and BBQ service is available and if there is a farm store, it will be open. But the 'big' shopping is best done at the supermarket.
  • Slippers for the shower, if you don't have your own plumbing in the tent of course.
  • Warm clothes and extra blankets on cold nights...it's still a tent....

Things that are also useful in the tent or at the campsite:

  • Flashlight, nice and exciting!
  • Camera, your phone is possible as well of course :-).
  • Books/magazines, yes really, you have the time for this! Now totally!
  • Anti-insect/ fly spray. It remains a farm...

Not sure what to think of when it comes to different weather conditions? We have some fun and useful tips for you. One thing is for sure. Whatever the weather, there is plenty to do on the farm!

Nice weather

  • Sunscreen lotion & aftersun
  • Swimsuit & bikini
  • Flip-flops
  • Sunglasses

Wet weather

  • Rainwear
  • Children's farm overalls, which you can also rent on the farm
  • Umbrella
  • Your favorite game, if it's not already in the huge game box!

Cold weather

  • Mittens, hats & scarves
  • Nice, warm pajamas, onesie or house suit!
  • Warm socks for in your jackboots
  • Extra blankets for the seating and dining area
  • Jug or extra blankets for the night
  • Mail us
