Small-scale holiday park Gelderland: for all ages

Camping at a FarmCamps farm is fun for young and old. The children can go out with the farmer, play in the hay barn, milk cows or pet goats. There is also always plenty to play with in the yard. You can find go-karts, trampolines, and sandboxes on every farm.

But, you too have a break from the daily grind. You can enjoy some time to yourself. Take a nice walk through the beautiful countryside, read a book or magazine in peace and quiet or sneak an afternoon nap in the hay? In short, our FarmCamps farms guarantee a wonderful holiday for the whole family!

Sleep in a real glamping tent

Our glamping tents are fully equipped. You will sleep well as the beds are lovely! There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a gas cooker, a small fridge, a good espresso machine and there is enough kitchen inventory. And how about a relaxing sofa, a large dining table and a games box. And really cosy: many of our tents have a fireplace outside.

We have different types of tents. Check them all out here! Whichever tent you choose; they are all child-friendly accommodation.

Our favourite activities in Gelderland

Of course, there is plenty to do on the farm. If you still want to see something of the surroundings during your holiday in Gelderland, then of course you can! These are our favourites.

Koningin Julianatoren. A really fun family park especially for slightly younger children. With roller coasters, trampolines, a haunted house, slides and lots of other attractions.

Burgers’ Zoo. The famous zoo with many different animals from all over the world. Lions, cheetahs, elephants, flamingos, zebras. There is also a fun playground and you can do a fun scavenger hunt.

De Koperen Ezel. A cosy petting zoo with a playground. At this petting zoo, you will find many different animals that you can pet and feed. How about turtles, donkeys, pot-bellied pigs and chinchillas? You can even encounter exotic animals such as dromedaries and prairie dogs.

Western Europe's Largest sand drift. You must have seen those, of course. The sand drift is near the village of Kootwijk. Here is a beautiful watchtower you can climb. Enjoy the peace, space and beautiful nature. An ideal place for a walk or a bike ride.

De Apenheul. A day among the swinging monkeys? At the Apenheul, you just can! Many monkeys roam freely and are naturally very curious, so that makes for a lot of monkey tricks and adventure.

The Kröller-Müller Museum. Admire Vincent van Gogh's famous works here. The 'Four Sunflowers Blossomed Out' and 'The Potato Eaters', for example, can be found here. But you can also admire works by Mondrian Seurat and Picasso.

Flamingo viewing. Near the border with Germany in Zwilbroekerveen you will find a breeding site for flamingos. It is the northernmost breeding ground of these beautiful, pink animals. So definitely worth a visit.

Activity farm the Vosselhoeve. A very cosy farm near Epe with all kinds of activities. There is something for everyone: farmer darts, ditch shooting, miniature golf, clog golf.

Open-air museum. Here you will be totally immersed in the history of the Netherlands, all in the open air. Take a tram ride, view buildings or walk through a village.

Loevestein Castle. Perhaps the most famous castle in the Netherlands because Hugo de Groot escaped while serving his sentence here. Want to know how? Then be sure to pay it a visit. A great outing for children.

The Dolfinarium. Great fun if you want to learn more about dolphins, as well as other mammals such as walruses, porpoises and sea lions. Including fun shows, of course!
