Relaxed on holiday with the kids in your own country? That's possible!

Our FarmCamps farms are not only 100% kid-proof, but also 100% parent-proof. What we mean by that? We will explain it to you!

  1. If you book a FarmCamps holiday, chances are you won't have a child to worry about. After all, there is so much to experience and enjoy on the farm. You will be lucky to see the kids for a while at breakfast and lunch ;-). That way, you also just have a holiday. Lovely, isn't it?
  2. The activities with the farmer are all done together. That means boyfriends and girlfriends are made super fast. And we all know that a fun holiday with lots of friends is also a fun holiday for parents!
  3. As parents, you can only really relax when you know the kids are safely playing somewhere, we understand that like no other. This is why our farms are laid out in such a way that children can be watched closely. Pleasant bonus: there are no cars driving by and getting lost is almost impossible.
  4. Our FarmCamps farms are located in the middle of the countryside in the most beautiful places in the Netherlands. Ideal for taking a break from the busy and hectic life at home. On the farm, nothing has to be done and everything is allowed.

You don't have to cook every night. After all, there is so much fun organised by the farmer and farmer's wife: pancake nights, Dutch fries nights or a cosy pizza night? It is all possible. And don't forget to order a delicious barbecue package with meat, baguettes, salad and sauces (vegetarian is also possible!).

Holiday in Zeeland? These are our favourite activities.

There is plenty to do on the farm. But, should you still want to see something of the surrounding area, Zeeland is more than fine. These are our favourites

  • Board the Goes-Borsele steam train. A real travelling museum that takes you through the Zak van Zuid-Beveland. Dykes, polders, meadows. It doesn't get any more Dutch.
  • Check out the Storm Surge Barrier. Perhaps the most famous landmark in Zeeland. Includes the Watersnoodmuseum and a bicycle tour of the Delta Works. In this category, a visit to Deltapark Neeltje Jans is also not to be missed. Films and exhibitions show the 1953 flood disaster, but there are also fun attractions, such as an aquarium, water playground and canal boat
  • Discover Walcheren in one day at Mini Mundi miniature park.
  • Don't skip: the beautiful town of Veere. One of the most beautiful fortified towns in the Netherlands.
  • Taste a real Zeeland bolus (or several, of course!).
  • Plan a day at the beach. Zeeland's beaches are beautiful and the coast is no less than 650 km long.
  • Visit the well-known town of Domburg. Surely, according to many people, the city with the cosiest restaurants and shops
  • Don't skip: the famous Seal Safari. Spot as many seals as possible from the boat. The boat departs from Sint-Annaland.
Staying on a FarmCamps farm in Zeeland? These are the frequently asked questions.

How is the glamping tent furnished?

Your own tent is fully furnished and equipped. You sleep in nice beds and there is a nice sofa and a big table in each tent to play games at. In the kitchen, there is a gas cooker, running water, a small fridge ánd a good espresso machine. En natuurlijk veel keukeninventaris. Many of our tents have an outdoor fireplace by the tent. Good to know: there is no microwave or oven in the tent.

Unfortunately, our tents do not include a standard cot and/or high chair. However, our baby package does include a cot (and a high chair and changing mat). You can rent these for €16.

We have different types of tents: you can choose from a luxury Safari tent, luxury Farm tent or luxury Lodgetent. Check them all out here! Whichever tent you choose; they are all child-friendly accommodation.

Should I bring my own groceries?

You can certainly bring your own groceries, but it is not necessary. In the information folder in the tent, you can find the address of the nearest supermarket. There is always a supermarket nearby where you can buy groceries. Many FarmCamps farms also have a small farm shop with a basic range of food and treats. Most farms also offer a sandwich service.

Holidaying on a small-scale holiday park in Zeeland: what if the weather is bad?

Should it be chilly, we recommend putting on layers. Also bear in mind that it can be chilly inside the tent if it is cold or windy outside. So bring nice warm clothes for the evenings.

If rain is forecast, we recommend you bring rubber boots and proper rainwear. For the children and for yourself. Also remember some old clothes for the kids, as they are guaranteed to get dirty playing on the farm. With the Dutch weather, you better be prepared.

Each FarmCamps farm has different play equipment and play facilities. But, there is always something for young and old to play with. Every FarmCamps farm has an Animal Meadow and/or Cuddle Barn.
