Our tents are fully furnished and fully equipped. Nice beds, a nice sofa, a kitchen with espresso machine. The Ranch Tents have a private bathroom with bath and shower next to the tent. The Farm Tents, Barn Tents and Lodge Tents even have a bathroom in the tent. How nice is it to enjoy the outdoors with the comfort of a holiday villa? Right... And all this just in the Netherlands!

2. Plenty of cuddling during the May holiday!

Cuddling is nowhere as high as on the farm. The rabbits, goats, horses and sheep cannot wait for hugs from you. Who doesn't get happy with all those fluffy, soft skins and all that animal love?

3. Fun and educational!

Making cheese, milking cows, helping the farmer feed the animals. A farm holiday is fun, but also very educational. Now when do you get the chance to experience real Dutch farm life so closely? After a few days, you will know all about farm life!

4. No problem with your child

You should not be surprised if you 'lose' the kids whole day periods. In fact, the children can have a great time on the farm by themselves. They can go out with the farmer, make new friends and look after the animals. There is also always plenty to play with in the yard: go-karts, trampolines, sandboxes!

Camping at the farm is also an ideal holiday for busy parents. You get away from the daily grind for a while. Reading a book, walking or running in the area or sneaking an afternoon nap in the hay? It's all possible on the farm

Camping is not 'cramping'. All our tents are specially designed this way for guests who need to get used to camping. Or just for the pros who do now once want to try that so-called 'glamping' to see if it really differs that much.

And it does... All tents have their own toilet in the tent as well as standard heating, lovely beds and a kitchen with a gas cooker and running water.

The great thing about a farm holiday is that it is a real family holiday. So you and the kids can learn more about life on the farm. The farmers will make sure it happens. To top it all off, you will receive a well-deserved Farmers' Diploma.

You really don't have to be bored during the May holidays. For example, the kids can take the cows out to pasture one day and have their turn at milking them the next. Or how about brushing horses on one of our horse farms? And the parents? They can come along, but can also play in front of the tent.

Have the kids had enough of the animals for a while? (Yes you won't believe it, but that can happen too.) Then they can go out with the farmer's wife. At one farm you will make your own ice cream from fresh milk and at another you will bake the most delicious biscuits you have ever tasted.

Finished cooking, baking and learning a lot about the farm? Then you can have fun playing with the well-stocked game box in the tent. A holiday on the farm guarantees family time.

What's inside the tent?

Our glamping tents are fully equipped. You sleep in good beds and in each tent there is a nice sofa and a table to play games at. In the kitchen, there is a gas cooker, running water, a small fridge and a good espresso machine. And, of course, plenty of kitchen inventory. Many of our tents also have an outdoor fireplace by the tent. This way, you can also enjoy the outdoors in the evening.

Good to know: there is no microwave or oven in the tent.

Is there actually a bathroom in the tent?

Our Ranch Tents have a bathroom with bath and shower next to the tent, this one is all yours. When booking a Farm Tent, Barn Tent or Lodge Tent then you don't even have to leave the tent; these tents have a bathroom inside!

There are also tents without a bathroom. Don't worry, you don't have to knock on the farmer's door, but can shower extensively in the heated sanitary building.

What can the children do on the farm?

Children can get a real Farmers' Diploma, help the farmer with chores in the fields or stables. Or how about milking the cows, taking care of the horses and mucking out the stables. But of course there is also lots of playing to do. There is plenty to do on the farm: playing hide-and-seek in the hay barn, playing football, building tree houses or swinging.

Can you have some fun in bad weather too?

Good news: even if the weather is not so good, you can have a good time. Each tent is equipped with a game box that will keep you entertained for hours.

But, fair is fair: of course, a Dutch family does not let a bit of rain or wind stop them. Even in bad weather, the cows need to be milked and the animals fed. So: put on your poncho and go! And warm up in the tent afterwards.

Should I bring my own towels?

Towels are unfortunately not included in the price. You can bring them yourself, but you can also order a handy towel pack with one large and one small towel for €5.

Do I need to bring my own bedding?

The sleeping quarters are fully equipped with duvets, pillows and cleanbeds. You pay €6.50 per person for bed linen for the entire stay.

Extra: at some farms you can also opt for the Farmers' Bed layout. For €6 per bed, your beds will then be made before arrival.

Can our dog come along?

On most farms, you can certainly bring your faithful four-legged friend. On each farm, a limited number of tents are available for this purpose. A maximum of 1 dog is allowed per tent. If you would like to bring your dog, please indicate this when booking with your travel group. You will automatically see if it is possible to bring your dog. It is possible that a tent is no longer available in your desired period. Choose another period or another farm.

Is it possible to stay on a FarmCamps farm with a young baby?
