We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad op de Geele Bosch. Bij aankomst konden we aanschuiven voor het pannenkoekenbuffet. Ook hebben we genoten van alle andere activiteiten op de boerderij. Onze 2 kinderen (9 en 7 jaar) hebben alle dagen geholpen met de beesten eten geven en verzorgen. Ook hebben de kinderen zich heel goed vermaakt in het avonturenbos, boomhut, hooi hooi schuur maar ook op de speeltoestellen op de "camping" zelf.

We hebben heerlijke dagen gehad. De Geee Bosch is een mooie goed onderhouden camping. Zowe Het farmcamps gedeelte als de camping zelf.

We waren hier een weekend. De tent was helemaal volledig en heel fijn. De kinderen hebben zich ontzettend goed vermaakt. Veel activiteiten gedaan zoals dieren voeren, pony rijden, knutselen, milkshake maken, huifkartocht en kampvuur met marshmallows en popcorn. Spelen in het bos en in de hooischuur. Er is veel speelmateriaal dus de kinderen verveelden zich geen moment.

At the farm of brothers Michel and Johan, you can help look after the young calves, cuddle and ride the pony, feast on the homemade ice cream and, of course, enjoy endless play.
Meet the brothers Michel and Johan, his wife Alinde and their daughters Lena and Yanou. In Late 2024, they took over farm De Geele Bosch from their parents Bill and Ella. Together, they continue their parents' young cattle farm and raise around 50 organic calves here to become dairy cows. The calves come here when they are about 4 months old and leave again when they are pregnant with their first calf. So no cows are milked here. They do make delicious ice cream in the most delicious flavours from organic milk from a neighbouring farm. Bill and Ella run their B&B just down the road and are enjoying their retirement. Still, you will definitely run into them on the farm, as they cannot sit still at all 😉. Bill comes every day to look after his horses and calves and the kids get to help him with that. Ella loves fun and crafts, so chances are she will organise a craft hour or a delicious pancake evening. Michel, Johan and Alinde are all animal lovers. They enjoy teaching the kids all about taking care of their animals. They also regularly organise all kinds of fun activities, such as a tractor and trailer tour, a cosy campfire evening and in the school holidays a great children's disco or children's bingo. De Geele Bosch is located in a beautiful and peaceful spot in Friesland with its own adventure forest where the kids can play for hours, gather wood for the campfire or build huts. If you want to get out of the yard for once, visit the famous beautiful Frisian lakes. Or hire a canoe for a nice trip on the Tjonger, 300 metres away.

Where do I sleep?

De Geele Bosch has 11 luxury tents on a large field adjacent to its own adventure forest and overlooking the Water Fun Meadow and campfire. From your tent, you can easily keep an eye on the kids. You sleep in a Safari Tent with its own toilet and cold running water. You can shower in the heated sanitary building. There is also a field with 15 pitches where people can stay with their own camping equipment or in a gypsy wagon.

Fun and Educational

No farm adventure would be complete without learning a thing or two from the professionals. And the whole Ros family personally takes care of that!

You can help take care of the calves and other animals on the farm every day. If, like farmer's wives Alinde and Ella, you like arts and crafts, this is the place to be. And gourmets can make their own milkshake together with farmer Alinde.

If you prefer to play, the farm is the right place for you. Sledding, exploring or building a hut in the adventure forest, climbing and clambering on the Tractor Tyre Climbing Tower or playing with your new friends in the Tree House and Hay Barn. And in fine weather, the kids can play with water in the Water Fun Meadow and make sand cakes in the mud kitchen. The kids are guaranteed to have fun at De Geele Bosch.

Convenient and delicious

Looking for ultimate relaxation? Well look no further because Farmer’s wife Alinde is up and about at the crack of dawn and happy to deliver breakfast to your tent! Or maybe you fancy an evening BBQ? You can rent a BBQ on site.

And of course there is always the small on-site farm shop where you can pick up your basics and a few local treats. Every day they bake fresh bread – now that’s handy! You can also enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, sandwich or pancake while sitting on the beautiful farm terrace. And don’t forget to get an ice cream. Farmer Bill turns fresh milk from a fellow farmer into delicious farmhouse ice cream in a variety of flavours. From smurf ice cream for the kids, to farmhouse soft-serve ice cream with eggnog and farmboys for the parents.

No one likes going home with a bag of dirty washing, Then order the Towel Pack and rent the one and only FarmCamps farmer’s overall for the kids. Your mini-farmers will not only look great but their clothes will not get so dirty either!

This is all there is to do nearby

Watching other families enjoy themselves here shows us how few leave the farm since there is so much to see and do. Here the kids are in their element and don’t have time to get bored! That´s why the parents are having a great time too.

But if you do want to discover the local environment then Friesland offers stunning lakes and canals and lots more to see and do. For fishing enthusiasts the River Tjonger is less than 300 meters from the farm.

Did you know that De Weerribben National Park and the must see stunning touristic village of Giethoorn are less than 30km away from the farm?
