What a pony camp at FarmCamps looks like
At FarmCamps, it’s all about the pony experience. Our pony camps combine daily riding lessons, hands-on grooming, scenic trail rides through beautiful countryside, and cosy evening activities like campfires. The camps take place on our partner farms all peaceful, spacious and fully equipped for a safe and relaxed stay.
Who is the pony camp for?
FarmCamps pony camps are ideal for children and teens aged approximately 6 to 16. Both beginners and advanced riders are welcome. Kids are grouped by level at each farm, so they can learn and progress at their own pace.
Families or groups of friends who simply want to spend a few days surrounded by ponies will also feel right at home at FarmCamps.
What will you learn and do at pony camp?
At FarmCamps, pony camp is about so much more than just riding. You'll learn how to care for ponies step by step – and enjoy the ultimate outdoor adventure together with your new four-legged friend.
Riding lessons: daily walk, trot or canter
Depending on the location, you can take riding lessons suited to your experience. From walking and trotting to cantering – always safe and fun.
Pony care: learn to care for your own pony
You'll discover how to groom, saddle, feed, and bond with your pony. It’s not just about riding it’s about working together and building trust.
Trail rides: explore forest paths, dunes or even the beach
Depending on the farm, you’ll go on amazing trail rides – through woods, across sandy tracks or, if you’re lucky, along the coast. A true nature experience on horseback!
Jumping and agility practice
For experienced riders, we offer exciting jumping lessons and fun obstacle courses. A great way to challenge yourself and your pony.

De Smulhoeve
Experience what it is like to have your 'own' pony during your holiday. You may ride for one hour every day accompanied by one of your parents. Having your own pony naturally comes with responsibilities such as feeding, cuddling, brushing and also shovelling poo. Yes!
- From 4 yerars old
- Riding experience not required. After all, mum and dad help look after and ride the pony. So riding is always done under the watchful eye of an adult.
- You can choose from a Shetlander, B or C pony, a Haflinger or a Fjord.
- €130 per weekend | €160 per midweek | €220 per week.
- The grooming ponies are very popular. We recommend booking the grooming pony right away (if still available).
Fleur Stables
Fleur Stables is the farm for riders and horsewomen with riding experience. You will be responsible for all the care of your "own" pony: brushing, feeding, mucking out the stable and taking your pony to pasture. And of course, you get to ride for an hour every day. Riding experience is necessary as you will drive without direct supervision. So it is important that you already have the necessary experience with ponies 🙂 .
- From 9 years old.
- Riding experience required. Driving experience will be tested by pre-riding on the day of arrival.
- You can choose from Shetlanders and A, B, C, D and E ponies.
- € 120 per weekend | € 150 per midweek | € 250 per week.
- The grooming ponies are very popular. We recommend booking the grooming pony right away (if still available).
Soodehof Eins
At Soodehof Eins, you can rent a grooming pony during your holiday, if you have always wanted to have your own pony! You are responsible for all the care of the shetlander Fenna or the pony Lea, which of course you do not mind at all 😉. They are also both very easy to ride, which you may also do for an hour a day.

- Riding experience required. Driving experience will be tested by pre-riding on the day of arrival.
- You can choose between a Shetlander and a pony.
- €90 per weekend | €110 per midweek | €200 per week.
- A limited number of ponies are available as grooming ponies, so we recommend booking in advance!
