Typical “Brabant welcome” at FarmCamps Breehees Breehees Farmers Carolien and Huub welcome you to their farm with typical Brabant hospitality. Being proud ‘Brabanders’ through and through this comes as second nature to them. Carolien and Huub run this small scale livery and farm campsite, but you are also likely to bump into Mum and Dad, Mr. and Mrs. de Boer whilst out and about on the farm. Breehees is home to 5 livery horses and 25 of the farmer’s own adorable ponies. So if you wish you can keep yourself busy looking after both the horses and ponies. If you’re looking for a different adventure then you can also join Mr. de Boer for a “safari” into the woods or take a tour to the modern dairy farm run by brother Ronny 600 meters down the road. On the farm itself you’ll find a snack bar with a roofed farm terrace and extensive menu. Enjoy a cup of coffee with a piece of cake, a cold beer, a hamburger or a plate of chips with a nice piece of succulent steak, while the kids are playing outside in the fabulous brand new children’s playground. Should you wish to leave the farm then Safaripark Beekse Bergen and de Efteling theme park are nearby. In short: a holiday at FarmCamps Breehees has something for everyone to enjoy!

Where do I sleep

Between Goirle and the Belgian border is a large, enchanting forest. At only 300 meters away of this forest you will find this delightful livery with campsite and its own holiday apartments, just outside of Goirle itself. At FarmCamps Breehees you you can choose from one of our 20 luxury tents. How about our Farm Tent which is super cosy ánd is equipped with a private bathroom in the tent? Or maybe you prefer the Ranch tent which comes with its own special ‘Hay! Hay! Bathroom Trailer’? Or perhaps the luxury Lodge tent is your choice because it comes with its own private bathroom in the tent and the unique ‘Hooihuys’? It’s all luxury… now all you have to do is choose! This FarmCamps farm is located on a quiet road and is surrounded by pastures, corn fields and other nearby farms. Within walking distance you discover a beautiful forest with lovely little lakes and a stunning stately home. The 8 luxury Farm Tents tents are on a private field next to the fields where the horses are and the opposite of the animal meadow. The Ranch Tents and some of the Lodge Tents you will find along the path to the horse pastures. The other Lodgetents are on the big field with pitches for people with their own camping equipment. At the end of this field you will find the play garden where the kids can enjoy themselves. Additionally, there are 5 luxury apartments available to rent for 8, 10 or up to 12 people. These apartments are rented by the farm itself.

Finding out is fun!

No farm adventure would be complete without learning a thing or two from the professionals. Farmer Huub and his wife Carolien take this very personally! This farm is crazy about horses and you can always get stuck in with taking care of, feeding and riding the horses and ponies on site. Mucking out the stables is a job that needs doing too! So roll up your sleeves and give a helping hand. Not in the mood for horses, then you can cuddle with the chickens of have a look at the pigs, rabbit Bartje, the donkey’s or the Alpaca’s. If you are more in the mood to play then you won’t be disappointed! Here there is a large outdoor play area with a trampoline cushion, cable wire ride and toddler playground. Here there are no rules – just enjoy yourself! In addition to Shetland ponies, FarmCamps Breehees also offers C, D and E ponies. The ponies are therefore suitable for children up to about 12 years old (max. 65 kg and/or 1.60 m).

Farmer's Passport

During check-in all children are offered a Farmer’s Passport from FarmCamps. These are loaded with fun and educational activities which they can do independently or together with their farmer. Your mini-farmers can discover and experience real life on a farm. For each completed task they will receive a stamp in their Farmer’s Passport. When their work is done they will graduate with their own farmhand diploma!

Farm Tours

During each stay, Farmer Carolien gives a Farmer’s tour around the yard. She not only shows you the yard, but also introduces you to the ponies that live here. Together, you will get them out of the pasture and you can also cuddle and brush them Do you also want to take a look at her brother Ronny’s modern dairy farm? Then hop on board for a ‘safari’ with Farmer Huub or ‘Superhuub’. You can discover exactly how a milking robot works!

On safari tour with the tractor trailer

Farmer Huub will take you on a unique safari tour on his tractor trailer. You’ll visit the modern dairy at his brother’s farm down the road where you can also pet the calves. Afterwards Farmer Huub will take you to the nearby woods for sight seeing, a small drinking break and a game.

Fun time with the ponies

On Wednesdays and Sundays you can join Farmer Carolien in fun and games with the ponies. In times of bad weather there is still plenty of fun to be had joining in craft activities with the farmer.

Pony riding and lessons

Farmer Carolien is a qualified and passionate horse riding instructor who teaches in small groups in the outdoor arena, up to 5 days a week. Both for experienced and un-experienced riders. From 6 years up.

Exciting Forest walk

Every Thursday evening, Farmer Huub takes big and mini-farmers for an exciting and educational walk through the forest. Together you’ll go in search of hidden treasures! Everyone can join in and the walking tour is free.

Outdoor ride

During the school holidays in the Netherlands, experienced riders can enter the forest with a horse if there are sufficient registrations. Boerin Carolien, in collaboration with a riding school in the area, organizes 2-hour outdoor rides on Tuesdays for adults but also for experienced kids. Price includes use of horse, cap, whip and afterwards a drink and snack.

Pony package

With the Pony package you can take part in all kinds of fun pony activities every morning, whether it be playing games with the ponies, together with Farmer Carolien, or having a riding lesson. Carolien is a certified riding instructor and teaches tailor-made lessons in small groups in her outdoor arena, together with her other horse teachers. There are different types of ponies for you to ride; for both younger and older kids, with or without previous riding experience. At the end of your holiday you will go home with a real FarmCamps pony diploma, your own grooming bag and of course, a fantastic pony experience! The Pony package costs €26 per weekend (1x driving lesson and 1x pony games), €36 per midweek (2x riding lessons and 1x pony games) and €62 per week (4x riding lessons and 2x pony games). From 6 years to about 12 years (max. 65 kg en/of 1,60m). Normally lessens are in Dutch, but they can also speak some English.

Pony Cuddle time

Farmer Carolien organizes a cuddle hour 5 times a week for kids under 6 years old. The younger kids can then brush, cuddle and walk around the mini-ponys to their heart’s content.

Play time

If you like to play, then you’re in the right place! Here you can play football, ride the go-karts, jump on the cable wire for a ride, or play with sand and do somersaults on the trampoline.

Practical & delicious

Looking for ultimate relaxation? Well look no further because Farmer’s wife Carolien is up and about at the crack of dawn and happy to deliver breakfast to your tent! Or maybe you fancy an evening BBQ? Not to worry, she will organise this for you. During weekends and high season you can also order your freshly baked bread for the mornings. And of course there is always the beautiful farm terrace to sit and enjoy something to eat or drink – now that’s handy! Fancy a steak or a burger? You will be delighted to discover that the farm has its own farmer’s terraced cafe. Part of the terrace is roofed giving a welcome shelter on windy days or some shade when the sun is shining. Whatever the weather this is a great spot to kick back and relax with a bite to eat or drink. The lunch and dinner menus offer a good selection of delicious dishes. That’s not all! Why not join in on the BBQ evenings, or simply order a pizza or fries from the snack menu and eat it back in the comfort of your own tent. Please note the seasonal opening times: in summer 7 days a week. In pre- season closed Mondays and Tuesdays. In autumn open during the weekend. Not looking forward to stacks of washing upon your home coming? Then simply order the towel pack and rent the one and only original FarmCamps farmer overalls for the kids. That way they’ll look just like the farmer and their clothes won’t get too dirty! You can order all your extras at the point of booking, but if you are not sure yet don’t worry, you can also order them on the spot.

A deliciously fresh farmers breakfast delivered to your tent including fresh bread, milk, juice, yoghurt, eggs (you cook these to your own liking) and of course a variety of condiments.

Farmers BBQ

Treat yourself to a tasty farmers BBQ including local artisan meats, salads, bread and sauces and of course it wouldn’t be complete without a treat for the kids. The barbecue (charcoal or gas) is included in the price.

Baby bundles

No need to lug around your own baby gear! This package includes a baby bed, high chair and a changing mat. Don’t forget to bring your baby’s own bed linen though.

Not only will your mini-farmers look very cool in these red overalls but you’ll be sure their clothes don’t get ruined!

Not a moment’s boredom!

Watching other families enjoy themselves here shows us how few leave the farm since there is so much to see and do. Here the kids are in their element and don’t have time to get bored! That´s why the parents are having a great time too. But if you do want to discover the local environment that North Brabant offers then you’ll find beautiful forests and charming little towns all within a stone’s throw from the Belgian borders, together with attractions like the Efteling amusement park and Beekse Bergen Safari park. Something for everyone!

At Plas’ t Zand you can splash around in the delightful outdoor lake or play on the surrounding beaches. The beautiful local area also offers great hiking and cycling. Every season is wonderful here!

De Vossenberg is a play farm with plenty to do. There is an outdoor children’s playground, an indoor playground and an attic where you can participate in craft activities or play. Parents can relax both inside and outside with a nibble and a drink while the children are busy having fun.

Beekse Bergen

Situated in Hilvarenbeek, just 15km from the farm, you can’t miss out on a trip to the famous, award winning safari park Beekse Bergen. An African adventure full of roaring lions, curious giraffes, roaming zebras and many more stunning beasts awaits you! The park also offers an outdoor playground, a large sandy beach with safe bathing facilities and water slides.

The beautiful estate of “Gorp & Roovert” is about 750 meters from FarmCamps Breehees. You can make use of several bike and hike trails through the beautiful surroundings including forests, heathland, meadows, wetlands, ponds and streams. Be at one with nature!

Oliemeulen Zoo

This zoo describes itself as one of the strangest in The Netherlands! It is situated in Tilburg and boasts fruit bats, monkeys, dwarf skunks and giant dinosaurs, together with the largest collection of reptiles and amphibians found in Europe. Every day there are several demonstrations and explanations given by a keeper.

The magnificent building of the Brabant Natural History Museum houses thousands of beautiful stuffed animals, fossils, plants and insects. In the new ‘OO-zone’, the ‘Ontdek en Onderzoek’ (Discover and Research) part of the museum, you can explore nature yourself with over 2000 objects of interest to research!
