A summer holiday on a farm isn’t just another getaway – it’s an experience that starts the moment you drive onto the yard. No crowded entertainment programmes or mass tourism, just space, freedom and real countryside life. Arrival at the farm
You arrive at the farm and check in personally with the farmer or farmer’s wife. No anonymous reception desk, just a warm welcome while the kids eagerly look around.

Taking the wheelbarrow to your tent
Together you bring your luggage to the tent using a wheelbarrow. Cars stay in the car park on purpose, so the yard remains safe and child-friendly.

Discovering your luxury tent
At the tent, the holiday feeling really begins. You explore your fully equipped accommodation and the kids immediately choose their favourite sleeping spot: the cabin bed, the bunk bed or the big bed?

Making friends on the farm
Then it’s time to explore. The children make friends with other kids or with the animals in the barn or meadow.

Cooking yourself or joining in
In your own kitchen you can easily prepare a nice meal whenever it suits you. Not in the mood to cook? Join a cosy pizza night on the farm instead.

Farm tour with the farmer
During a guided tour, you’ll learn more about the farm, the animals and daily farm life. You’ll discover where the milk comes from and how the animals are cared for.

Relaxed check-out
On Sundays you can even stay until 5:00 pm. If you check out on Monday or Friday, departure is at 10:00 am – with suitcases full of laundry and heads full of wonderful memories.

When are the summer holidays in 2026?

The summer holidays start and end on different dates each year. In the Netherlands, there are three regions (North, Central and South), each with its own holiday schedule. It’s always wise to check the official dates before planning your farm holiday.

The official summer holiday dates for 2026 are:

North region: 4 July to 16 August 2026
Central region: 18 July to 30 August 2026
South region: 11 July to 23 August 2026
