No farm adventure would be complete without learning a thing or two from the professionals. Farmer Johan and his wife Matine take this very personally! So you can expect to join Farmer Johan every day when he gets to work milking the cows or you can have a cuddle with the other animals at our petting zoo.
Do you like to play more? Then the farm will also satisfy you. Go tobogganing, jumping on the trampoline, making sand cakes at the mud kitchen or building a hut with your new friends in the wooded glade. Everything is possible!
At check-in, children will receive FarmCamps’ Farmer’s Passport. This contains fun and educational tasks they can do independently or with the farmer. This way, they participate in, and learn about life on the farm.
For each completed task they will receive a stamp in their Farmer’s Passport. When their work is done they will graduate with their own farmhand diploma!
During each stay, farmer’s wife Matine gives a Tour de Boer (farmer’s tour) of their yard. She will be happy to tell you what they do, how they work and show you around their farm.
This way, you will get to know the farm and hear fun and special stories about life on the farm where you are staying. Afterwards, we drink a cup of coffee together and you can get further acquainted with the farmer and farmer’s wife.
You can collect at Matine instructions and ingredients to take it to your tent. This way you learn how to make delicious yogurt from fresh farm milk – and of course you will get to taste it too!
Every day you can help farmer Johan get the cows out of the pasture and watch them being milked. He might still need some help.
Of course, the small animals also need something to eat every day. Join the tour of the animals and help farmer Matine or one of the children with feeding.
Are the kids too young to take the walk to the forest? Then put them in the wagon. They’ll love it.
During your stay, there is a chance that the campfire will be lit. Together by the campfire, listen to the crackling of the flames and warm up by the fire.
Do you love ponies too? Occasionally, pony rides are organised or there is an opportunity to brush Sofietje and Polly. Keep a close eye on the activity board for this! Would you like to go for a ride outside the yard? Ask about the possibilities.
In the Bossingel there is always material available to build your own hut. With your new friends, this will be a great adventure!
If you like to play, this is the place to be! You can play football, build huts, ride on the go-karts or just splash around with sand and do somersaults on the trampoline.
Looking for ultimate relaxation? Well look no further because Farmer’s wife Matine is up and about at the crack of dawn and happy to deliver breakfast to your tent! And of course there is always the small on-site farm shop where you can pick up your basics and a few treats. Handy right?
