Een zeer geslaagde vakantie. Echt heerlijk geslapen. En er was top vermaak doordat je bij de boer verblijft.

At this modern arable farm run by Huub and Martine and their three teenage sons, there's plenty of room to play! At the same time, you'll learn all about the crops that grow here, and the rest of your holiday will be filled with cuddling the animals.
In one of the most peaceful corners of the Netherlands, nestled in the beautiful region of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, you’ll find FarmCamps De Kamperhoek, a true paradise for children who love to play endlessly, zoom around on go-karts and cross bikes, and cuddle with the farm animals. Farmer Huub, farmer’s wife Martine, and their three sons warmly welcome you to their arable farm, where they passionately grow products you might find in your kitchen cupboard: brown beans, potatoes for chips, and sugar beets. But for kids, it’s all about playing, discovering, and having fun! Everywhere on the farm, there’s something to do. Whether racing on go-karts, practicing tricks on the trampoline, playing hide-and-seek in the Hay Barn, or zooming down the zipline, there’s plenty of space to run wild. The large playfield and cross-bike track offer endless fun, while the water play area provides cooling refreshment on warm days. Animal lovers can spend hours cuddling with the friendly sheep and rabbits or helping to care for the chickens and ducks. For those who love big tractors, De Kamperhoek is a dream come true. Farmer Huub proudly shows off his impressive collection of John Deere machines. In the barn, you’ll find powerful tractors and agricultural vehicles used to cultivate his 100 hectares of farmland. And outside in the yard, there’s just as much action – besides the big tractors, there’s a huge selection of go-karts, pedal tractors, and cross bikes for endless racing fun. De Kamperhoek is a true family business where everyone plays a part. Sons Milan and Yannick love working in the fields, while Timon helps out around the farm and campsite. Farmer Huub and Martine are always happy to chat with guests and organize cozy campfire evenings. Beyond the farm, you can enjoy swimming at the nearby Westerschelde beaches or take a trip to one of the beautiful Belgian cities such as Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, or Knokke. Where do I sleep?

On this farm you can choose from one of our 22 luxury tents. The Safari Tent includes a private toilet (showers are in the nearby heated bathing facilities). Or you can treat yourself to a little extra luxury and opt for our luxurious Lodge Tent with a private bathroom with shower and toilet in your tent. If you fancy a bath tub, than the Barn Tent is the best choice. It also comes with a handy dishwasher. There’s so much luxury – all you have to do is pick which type you prefer!

This FarmCamps farm is located on a quiet dike and is surrounded by meadows and fields. A few hundred metres away is a large fishing pond and 5 km away is the Westerschelde with lovely beaches.

10 Safari Tents are pitched on a private field. In the middle is the camp fire where Farmer Huub twice a week stokes the fire while enjoying a cool beer. The 4 Lodge Tents and 8 Barn Tents (4 of them are with airconditioning) are both situated on a beautiful and private field surround by peace, space and privacy. The Barntents are overlooking open meadows.

The site also offers two extra fields for any guests who wish to bring their own camping equipment or are staying in one of their hikers’ cabins or farmhouses.

    Fun and Educational

    No farm adventure would be complete without learning a thing or two from the professionals. Farmer Huub and his wife Martine take this very personally! So you can expect to learn all about how to grow their crops but also how to use that knowledge in your own kitchen garden back at your tent. Naturally the farmyard furries need your help too so expect to take care of chickens, rabbits and other small farm animals.  

    If you prefer to play, the farm will satisfy your needs. Go tobogganing, set the fastest time on the bicycle cross track, jump on the trampoline, play with sand and water, build a hut with your new friends in the Hay Barn or play a game of football. Everything is possible and allowed.

    Convenient and delicious

    Looking for ultimate relaxation? Well look no further because Farmer Huub is up and about at the crack of dawn and so happy to deliver breakfast to your tent! And of course there is always the small on-site farm shop where you can pick up some basics and a few treats. On Saturdays and during summer time, you can also get fresh bread delivered by a local baker.

    No one likes going home with a bag of dirty washing, Then order the Towel Pack and rent the one and only FarmCamps farmer’s overall for the kids. Your mini-farmers will not only look great but their clothes will not get so dirty either!

    You can order all your extras at the point of booking, but if you are not sure yet don’t worry, you can also order them on the spot.

    This is all there is to do nearby

    Watching other families enjoy themselves here shows us how few leave the farm since there is so much to see and do. Here the kids are in their element and don’t have time to get bored! That´s why the parents are having a great time too.

    But if you do want to explore what´s nearby then the Zeeland-Flanders region has something for everyone. Discover beautiful, typical Dutch dykes spanning across exquisite open landscape or the stunning Westerscheld coastline, or even a trip over the border to Belgium is within reach. Did you know that Zeeland-Flanders is unique because it mixes down to earth Dutch culture with large doses of Belgian hospitality and cuisine?
