I can’t think we could have a better 3 night stay away. We booked as we have 3 children and wanted to explore the area. We could have stayed the whole day on the farm. Kids said it was the best holiday they have ever had. We as parents relaxed knowing the kids were enjoying themselves, making friends and enjoying the endless activities they had. I would recommend to anybody. The luxury tents have everything you need, warm and very comfortable. The option of an outdoor fire and bbq was amazing and the hammock was brilliant. Kids loved the go carts and the animals the most.

Super! Fijne luxe tent met alles wat we nodig hadden. Vooral het hooihuys was een groot succes. De boerin was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam en we hebben veel geleerd. En er was heel veel te doen voor de kinderen, alles zag er ook netjes uit.

Situated in the beautiful polder landscape near the city of Gouda is the dairy farm of farmers Wilco, Durkje and their 3 kids. Their large barnyard with cool and mega large water fun meadow offers lots of space for kids to play for hours and occupy themselves with the animals.
Surrounded by exceptional peace and tranquility, here you can discover the true beauty of typical Dutch polder landscape together with Farmer Wilco and Farmer’s wife Durkje. Imagine looking out from your tent over open meadows, watching the grazing sheep and cows while spotting a few birds too! And while you enjoy the peace and quiet, the kids are spending hours playing in the mega cool ‘Water Pret Weide’. In poor weather don’t be surprised to watch your mini-farmers popping off to play in the large play attic or starting a spontaneous hay fight in the hay barn. For those who prefer a hug to rumble-tumble play, there are plenty of bunnies waiting for you at the large Cuddle Barn. In the dairy, Farmer Wilco takes his time to teach your mini-farmers how to milk a cow, while Farmers Wife Durkje shows your mini-farmers how to make delicious ice-cream from fresh dairy milk. Located in the heart of Holland, close to international airports, this is an unforgettably beautiful part of The Netherlands. On Sundays, the farming family at Stolkse Weide spend time alone with their loved ones so please note that there are no extra organized activities. But this doesn’t stop you playing and cuddling to your heart’s content with the animals.

Where do I sleep?

At Stolkse Weide, the 10 luxury tents are located by a shallow ditch that has been converted into a cool Water Fun Meadow. The ditch is fenced off, making it safe for little kids. You choose a Lodge Tent with private bathroom with shower or Safari Tent with private toilet (you shower in the sanitary building). On the other side of the Water Fun Meadow are 15 pitches for people with their own camping equipment.

    Fun and Educational

    No farm adventure would be complete without learning a thing or two from the professionals. Farmer Wilco and his wife Durkje take this very personally! So you can expect to join Farmer Wilco every day when he gets to work milking the cows or you can feed the other animals in the petting barn.

    If you are more in the mood to play then you won’t be disappointed! Here you can go-kart, jump around on the trampolines, splash to your heart’s content in the outdoor paddling pool or join your new farm friends to build a hut in Hay! Hay! Play barn. Just enjoy yourself! Please note that the spoken language during these activities is Dutch.

    Convenient and delicious

    Looking for ultimate relaxation? Well look no further because Farmer’s wife Durkje is up and about at the crack of dawn and happy to deliver breakfast to your tent! Or maybe you fancy an evening BBQ? Not to worry, Durkje will organise this for you. And of course there is always the small on-site farm shop where you can pick up your basics and a few treats. Every day Durkje bakes fresh bread that you can order at the reception – now that’s handy! On arrival you will receive a list so you can order.  

    No one likes going home with a bag of dirty washing, Then order the Towel Pack and rent the one and only FarmCamps farmer’s overall for the kids. Your mini-farmers will not only look great but their clothes will not get so dirty either!

    You can order all your extras at the point of booking, but if you are not sure yet don’t worry, you can also order them on the spot.

    This is all there is to do nearby

    Watching other families enjoy themselves here shows us how few leave the farm since there is so much to see and do. Here the kids are in their element and don’t have time to get bored! That´s why the parents are having a great time too.

    But if you do want to explore what´s nearby then the ‘Green Heart’ of Holland has something for everyone. Discover the local area from delightful villages to major cities, and plenty of surrounding water for boating and fishing.
