Yes! The use of gas, water and electricity is included in the price.

Nobody feels like arriving in a dirty tent on arrival. Therefore, we ask you to leave the tents clean, complete and in good condition when you leave (take of the bed linnen, washing up, taking away rubbish, tidy the game chest). f you are unsure about what exactly to do before you leave, check the information in the tent. There you will find a handy checklist. After your departure, our farmers will clean up nicely for the new guests. The cleaning fee is included for an individual booking. For a group booking, the cleaning fee is €50 per tent. If you bring a dog (this is only allowed if indicated when booking and if there is still a tent available in which a dog is allowed), we charge an additional € 25 cleaning fee.

Yes, all prices shown are including VAT.

The rental of our luxury tents includes a handy household package containing a small bottle of detergent, washing-up brush, scouring pad, dishcloth, kitchen towel, tea towel, hand soap, 1 garbage bag, 1 PMD bag and matches. You will also get a tour of the farm and our Farmer’s Passport and Mini-Farmer Diploma for the children.

For individual bookings, reservation and cleaning costs are included in the prices shown. For groups, we charge separate rental, cleaning and reservation fees. When making an offer, these prices are clearly specified.

It is possible to book an entire FarmCamps location for a family or friends reunion for example. We would be happy to provide you with a proposal for customized activities in consultation with the site farmers. If you are interested in reserving an entire FarmCamps location then we advise you to contact our reservations department where we will be happy to work together with you to discuss your specific requirements.

At FarmCamps, it is only possible to book a luxury tent. Some FarmCamps farms also have pitches on their property that they rent out themselves. For this you can contact the farm in question. If you want to know which farms these are, please check “Our Farms” on the website and select the filter “own farm campsite” on the left side of the page.

  • Day guests are welcome on most farms, but usually for a fee. The fee varies per farm and is usually only a few euros per guest, per day. That also depends on the number of guests you invite. Check this with the farmer on arrival.
  • Day guests must be reported to the farmer on site.
  • Day guests may participate in the free activity program if you have discussed this with the farmer on site.
  • If there is space, day guests can of course participate in paid activities. You can arrange this on the spot with the farmer.

Day guests are not allowed to stay overnight unless there are still beds available in the tent. In that case, this must be reported to the farmer and tourist tax and a linen package at € 7,50 per person will have to be paid on site.

Yes, all our luxury tents have cold running water. The Ranchtent, Farmtent, Lodgetent and Barntent also have hot running water. In the Haytent there is hot running water in the kitchen, but not at the sink.

Yes, there is electricity in every tent. In addition, the tent has a lamp in every room and there are several sockets. Use of this is of course included in the price.

Ja, al onze tenten zijn voorzien van een eigen toilet.

  • There is no shower in the Safari tent and Hay tent. You shower in the sanitary building.
  • The Ranch tent has the Hooi Hooi Badtrailer next to the tent: a horse trailer converted into your own luxurious private bathroom with bath and rain shower.
  • The Farmtent and Lodgetent have a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink in the tent.
  • The Barntent has a bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and washbasin in the tent.

Yes, all our luxury tents have 1 (Safari tent and Hay tent) or 2 (Ranch tent, Farm tent, Lodge tent and Barn tent) gas heaters. Because many farms place solar panels on their roofs, and we also like to go along with the step towards more sustainable energy, the gas heater on a number of farms has been replaced by an air conditioner. This blows warm air, but can also cool the tent. That is of course very nice on the hot days. If you would like a tent with an air conditioner, look in the Main menu at ‘Our Farms’ and select the air conditioner at ‘Luxury in the tent’. You will then see which tents have an air conditioner.

You can just cook in the tent. The kitchen has a 4-burner gas stove, a small refrigerator and a good basic kitchen inventory. There is no microwave or oven in the tent.

No, this is not necessary, the tent is equipped with quite extensive kitchen equipment. In the tent you will also find a handy Household Kit containing a small bottle of washing up liquid, washing-up brush, scouring pad, dish cloth, kitchen towel, tea towel, 1 garbage bag, 1 PMD bag and matches. So you don’t have to lug it all with you from home.

In all our luxury tents you can make an old-fashioned pot of coffee by boiling water and pouring it into a filter with filter coffee on a thermos. There is also a Lavazza Espresso machine. For this machine you need special Lavazza espresso capsules which you can buy in the shop on all our farms. Please note: these capsules are only for sale on the farm, so not in the supermarket!

No, the bedrooms are fully furnished with duvets and pillows, and clean bed linen will be waiting for you in the tent. Some farms also offer the Welcoming Bed service which means your beds are made before you arrive – ready for you to relax and enjoy.

No bed linen is added to the booking for babies, but it is for the other categories in the travel party. If your child already sleeps in a regular bed, please let us know in the comments box which you will find later, and we will add an extra bed linen set for you.

Yes, the bed linen is hypoallergenic.

Towels are not included in the rental price. You can either bring your own or you can opt for the Towel Bundle package which is €5.00 and includes one large and one small white towel. Perfect for leaving washing behind at the end of your holiday!

  • Family games for young and old.
  • Outdoor toys.
  • Toys to help discover the nature around you.

No, our tents do not have a standard baby cot and/or high chair. In the Safari tents, Hay tents, Farm tents and Ranch tents there are bunk beds for the children. The Lodge tents have 2 single beds and a box bed for the children. The Barntent has both a bunk bed and a sleeping loft for the children.

You can rent a baby package with a cot and changing mat from us for € 11 (per stay) or of course bring it yourself. In any case you need to bring your own bed linen for the cot. You only need a high chair? That is possible for € 5.

Free WiFi is available at the reception on almost all our FarmCamps farms. Please note that farms are located in the outskirts and therefore do not always have a good reception. Unfortunately, due to their location, FarmCamps De Geele Bosch and FarmCamps De Verloren Kost receive too few MBs for a good connection.

Some locations even have WiFi coverage in the tents. If you want to know which locations these are, check our website at ‘Our Farms’ and select the filter ‘Wifi in the tent’.

No, smoking is not allowed in the tent. You are allowed to smoke outside the tent.

You can indicate your preference when booking. However, in all cases we determine the tent layout before arrival based on the size of the group, presence of a dog and any preferences in order of date of request.

  • Most farms allow you to bring a dog. For this we have a limited number of tents available on each farm. A maximum of 1 dog per tent is allowed. If you want to bring a dog, you must indicate this immediately when booking with the travel group. It is therefore possible that there is no longer available a tent in which the dog is welcome during the period you wish. In that case you cannot take your dog with you or you have to choose a different period or farm.
  • Due to communicable diseases, only dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, you cannot bring other pets with you.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on the farm. In addition, you should not let them out on the farm, because the farm animals can get sick from eating dog feces.
  • No dogs are allowed at FarmCamps Den Branderhorst, De Kalverliefde, De Bonte Fries, BoeBaDoe, Oranjepolder, Alpaca Vorstenbosch, De Smulhoeve, Hoeve Luyterheyde and Op de Beemd.
  • At some farms it is allowed to bring 2 dogs. This is possible at FarmCamps De Bosrand, De Buitenhoeve, De Geele Bosch, De Oostermaat, Fleur Stables, Mariekerke and Stolkse Weide.

We charge a €25 dog fee if you choose to bring your dog.

You can bring your own horse at FarmCamps Holzik Stables, De Geele Bosch, Fleur Stables, Five Star and De Bosrand. Ask us in advance if there is availability during the desired period.

We had a great stay. Daughter (6yrs) had a super time all weekend and even started crying in the car not wanting to go home and stay there. Only managed to calm her down with the promise to go back again. Says enough I think…

You can check in at our farms on Mondays and Fridays between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. If you are late, please inform the farmer directly. You will receive the telephone number of the farm by email 3 days before arrival.

You have until 10am to check out on Mondays and Fridays. Have you booked a short weekend? Then you can stay until 5pm on Sunday.

Exceptions are Easter Monday and Whit Monday, when you can check out until 5pm.

Each FarmCamps location is unique and has its own farming services. At most of the FarmCamps farms, the following packages and services can be booked:

  • Breakfast at the tent (note, this is not available at all farms)
  • Farmers BBQ (note, this is not available at all farms)
  • Towel package
  • Baby package
  • Farmer’s Bed Making Service (note, this is not available at all farms)
  • Children’s Overall Rental

The FarmCamps locations also have a small farm shop where you can get something tasty to eat and drink.

Each FarmCamps location is unique and has its own activity program. At each FarmCamps farm you can participate in the farm tour and the kids receive a Farmer’s Passport and Mini-Farmer Diploma (free). In addition, all farms offer their own unique activities. On the farm page you can read which activities these are per farm.

  • Every FarmCamps farm has its own play equipment and area(s) including a toddler playground, go-karts and various swings and bouncy castles.
  • In addition, some farms also offer ‘Hay! Hay! Playbarns’, outdoor paddling pools, tractor tyre climbing towers or a Farmer’s Assault Course.
  • Every FarmCamps farm also features a petting zoo and a cuddle corner.

The easiest way to do this is to go to the main menu on our website and select ‘Our Farms’. You can use our filter options on the left as per your requirements. Once you have done this, the computer will do the hard work for you and show you all the relevant options. Of course, you can also call and ask us to do this for you on 088 888 9188.

Some farm activities have a minimum or maximum number of participants. To guarantee your spot, we always recommend booking online prior to arrival.

All mini-farmers receive a Farmer’s Passport upon arrival, and a Farmer’s Diploma upon departure – these do not need to be reserved. Some farm activities are free.

You pay us in advance for all services and activities that you pre-book with us. You only pay for the services and activities that you book on site when you leave. At some FarmCamps farms you can pay with pin, at locations where this is not possible, you have to pay in cash at the farmer. Paying with credit card on the farm is unfortunately not possible.

  • Children of 6 years or older can participate in almost all FarmCamps activities (unless otherwise indicated).
  • Children under 6 years can also take part in the activities, but FarmCamps requests this be done under the supervision of an accompanying member who is 13 years or older.

Upon arrival, the farmer and his wife will inform you of the schedule for activities during your stay. Times and locations are subject to change depending on the onsite farming that is required. You can also consult the activity board, located at a central point on each farm, to keep up to date with time and locations during your stay.

Washing machines are available at all FarmCamps locations except FarmCamps Holzik Stables, FarmCamps Kooij Hoeve, FarmCamps De Kalverliefde, FarmCamps De Bonte Fries and FarmCamps De Smulhoeve. There are also tumble dryers at some locations. You can make use of these against payment.

  • FarmCamps are currently not specifically designed for people with disabilities. Our luxury tents are spacious enough for people with a wheelchair. Some FarmCamps farms also have a paved path to the tents which is easy for wheelchair use. Call or email us if you want to know which farms are suitable.
  • Developmentally disabled children and adults can of course take part in all farm activities, under supervision where appropriate.
  • FarmCamps farms are very suitable for children who attend special needs schools or who are eligible for weekend care through care subsidiaries. If the child is usually under supervision then we advise their care giver also joins the holiday. FarmCamps farmers are not qualified to care for children with special needs though they are especially welcome on all our farms.

No, all beds have duvets, pillows and bed linen. The costs for bed linen are € 7,50 p.p.

No, toilet paper is free at FarmCamps farms.

If rain is predicted, then we recommend you pack wellies and a good rain coat for your mini-farmers especially. We recommend that you especially bring old clothes for the kids, because they are guaranteed to get dirty from playing on the farm.

If cooler weather is forecasted then dressing with lots of layers is advised.

Bring torches – it is so much fun to explore the campsite and farmyard at night time! Also, bread rolls and marshmallows to toast on the campfire are always welcomed.

FarmCamps undertakes various activities in the field of sustainability, you can read about our initiatives on our sustainability page

Since its foundation in 2012, education and awareness have been our priorities. A holiday at the farm offers several sustainability benefits. A farm holiday can help promote understanding and awareness of rural life, agriculture and the environment. By giving guests the opportunity to participate in farm activities and get in touch with nature, FarmCamps contributes to education and awareness of nature and (sustainable) agriculture.

With farm passports full of interesting facts and knowledge questions, guided tours of the farmyard, farmhand certificates and interactive activities on the farm, we teach children in particular, but certainly also parents, about the farm, animals and nature.

We like to invite our customers to sit down with the farmer and farmer's wife in person and hear directly what they are doing and what challenges lie ahead. By understanding each other, we can jointly make the world more sustainable.

Green Key is an international quality mark for sustainable businesses in the leisure and recreation sector and business market. The Green Key label means that we do everything we can to preserve the environment, without our guests compromising on comfort and quality. FarmCamps has set itself the goal of having at least 10 farms Green Key certified within 3 years from 2024.

You can make your complaint by emailing us at info@farmcamps.nl. We will respond substantively in writing within 2 working days. In the event of a complaint on site, we aim to resolve it during your stay. Our full complaints procedure can be found in our booking conditions.

A complaint can also be submitted via a complaints form on the consumer page of the Thuiswinkel.org website. The complaint will then be sent both to the trader in question and to Thuiswinkel.org. If the complaint cannot be solved by mutual agreement within a reasonable period of time or within 3 months after submission of the complaint, a dispute arises that is subject to the dispute settlement procedure.

Disputes can be submitted by both the consumer and FarmCamps to the Thuiswinkel Disputes Committee, Postbus 90600, 2509 LP in The Hague (www.sgc.nl) or via the European ODR platform .
