FarmCamps starts partnership with Trees for All: planting for the future

At FarmCamps everything revolves around being outdoors, discovering, learning and enjoying farm life. That’s why we’re proud to announce that from 1 January 2026 we will officially become a Corporate Forest Partner of Trees for All. Over the next three years, we will plant at least 2,000 trees together — half of them in the Netherlands, for our very own FarmCamps Forest. How great is that?

🌱 Why Trees for All?

With 24 farms across the Netherlands and Germany, we at FarmCamps believe it’s important to make a positive impact close to home. Our farmers work with nature every single day: with animals, soil, land and weather. Without healthy nature there is no future for the farm — and therefore no future for carefree family stays on the farm.

Trees for All fits perfectly with this vision. Their mission to restore forests, protect nature and absorb CO₂ aligns with our desire to contribute to a livable world. Not only in the Netherlands, but also in regions where (re)forestation is just as urgently needed. As a forest partner we support both Dutch and international forest projects.

🌲 The FarmCamps Forest: local, tangible & truly something we create together

One of the most exciting parts of this partnership is that we will be planting our own FarmCamps Forest in the Netherlands. A place where children can see how a young sapling grows into a strong tree. And in the future, a place where children can run, climb and play — just like on the farm.

And we’re not doing this alone. Every guest can join in. During the booking process, you can choose to donate from €6 per tree and help the FarmCamps Forest grow. Together, we build a greener future, tree by tree. And of course, there’s something special in return:

🐮 For nature

FarmCamps stands for Fun, Luxury, Lodging, Lively, Learning & Local. Our collaboration with Trees for All touches all these values:

Local: half of all trees will be planted in the Netherlands.

Learning: children experience how forests contribute to healthy ecosystems.

Lively: more forest means more biodiversity and more life on and around the farm.

Luxury lodging: our tents literally stand in nature. Without healthy nature, there’s no place for our tents.

Fun: we get to plant the forest ourselves!

🌍 Making an impact internationally too

Trees for All doesn’t only work in the Netherlands, but also in areas where new forests are crucial for local communities and ecosystems. By becoming a forest partner, we actively contribute to these projects as well — ensuring that our impact reaches beyond the borders of our farms.

💚 Together for a strong future

This partnership is an important and meaningful step for us: contributing in a concrete way to nature restoration and doing something that fits who we are and what we stand for. And the great part is: you can join in.

With every tree that’s added, the FarmCamps Forest grows — and so does the contribution we make together to a healthy natural environment. And in autumn 2026, you can even help plant the trees yourself. Simply with your boots in the mud — just the way we like it at FarmCamps.

Luxury camping and the art of the perfect holiday cocktail

At FarmCamps, they understand that modern holidaymakers are looking for an authentic connection with nature without sacrificing comfort. The concept of farm glamping combines agricultural education with high-quality recreation, involving families directly in the daily activities on the farmyard. The experience of cocktailtjes.nl shows that this active form of relaxation supports mental calm and helps bridge the gap between city and countryside. While children learn the basics of livestock farming and play freely around the farm, parents can truly unwind in a lovely setting while enjoying one or more cocktails. Kids happy, you relaxed.

From the busy city to the calm of the countryside

Getting away from the daily hustle and bustle and sinking your wellies deep into the mud – that’s what a farm holiday is all about. While city life keeps you constantly switched on, the countryside encourages you to slow down and enjoy nature. The kids play outside all day, while you take it easy with a cup of coffee in the sun – kids happy, you relaxed.

Adventurous outdoor life for the whole family in Southern Norway

A farm holiday stands for freedom, muddy wellies and learning where our food comes from. For families who love this kind of down-to-earth holiday, a trip to Kristiansand in Norway is a fantastic next step. Here you combine the charm of outdoor living with spectacular scenery. Instead of cows in Dutch fields, you’ll spot moose in vast forests and crabs in the sea. The principle remains the same: nature is the biggest and most beautiful playground there is.

Farm life, Italian style

Anyone who loves camping on a farm and the outdoor life will feel right at home in the south of Italy. The region of Puglia is known for its agricultural character, but with a Mediterranean twist. Instead of cows in the fields, you’ll find endless landscapes of olive groves and vineyards. Staying at an agriturismo or a masseria (a historic farmhouse) is the perfect way to experience this rural lifestyle. Children can play freely in nature while you enjoy the peace, space and tranquillity.

City and countryside combined

A farm holiday stands for freedom, playing in the mud and learning about nature. However, the experience of brugge.nl shows that many families like to combine this rural tranquillity with a cultural day trip. From experience, we know that during a FarmCamps holiday you’ll probably never want to leave the farmyard. But if you’re staying on a farm in the south, a visit to Bruges is literally just around the corner. It’s the perfect way for children to discover not only farm life, but also the rich history of a medieval city.

On the farm: how to get your dog used to other animals

Farm life sounds like a dream to many people, and for dogs it truly is one too. There are new scents to discover everywhere, plenty of space to run around, and all kinds of animals roaming about. Still, that first encounter with a cow, horse or chicken doesn’t always go smoothly. Out of sheer excitement or hunting instinct, your dog can get into serious trouble or scare the livestock badly. According to the experts at labradoodleinfo.nl, a calm and controlled introduction is therefore crucial for the safety of all animals on the farm.
