6x the best farm holidays with horses

Is your daughter or son also totally crazy about ponies, horses and everything that comes with it? Riding lessons at the equestrian center, wallpapering a room with horse posters, wanting to pet every pony you meet or even enjoying having a horse of your own? Or are you just real animal lovers and just want to explore the world of horses and ponies. In both cases you have come to the right place at FarmCamps. Because we have the recipe for a vacation with children full of vitamin P!

We have a lot of farms where pony lovers can enjoy themselves. The best horses are not in stables but at FarmCamps!

Our horses and ponies are eager to meet you!

At all of our horse farms you can enjoy the farm life, with those sweet ponies nearby. Sleep in a luxurious, cozy and fully equipped glamping tent. Our luxury tents are fully equipped. Nice beds, a lovely couch and a kitchen with a gas stove and an espresso machine.

During the day the kids can help the farmer feed the ponies and take them out to pasture and in the evening of course back to the stable. Our ponies are all used to handling children and love to be cuddled, brushed and pampered. Braiding their manes, endless brushing and cuddling. But also a nice hike with a sweet pony, pampering care ponies or horseback riding for adults are among the possibilities! On this page you can read what is possible.

Care pony
Have you always wanted to have your “own” pony? At two of our farms you can experience what it's like to have your own pony. During the vacations your own grooming pony, how cool is that! Every day you can ride and of course brush and cuddle them whenever you want.

Riding lessons
Always wanted riding lessons? On some of our farms you can take riding lessons from our riders, who are also certified instructors. Both experienced and non-experienced riders can improve their riding skills at FarmCamps.

A real animal mess
On our horse farms live not only horses and ponies, of course, but also many other animals. There is plenty to cuddle with rabbits, kittens and goats. Actually, on every FarmCamps farm it is always a real animal mess. But don't forget to play on the swings, race on the go-karts, jump on the trampolines or mess around with water and sand. Useful for when brother or sister get tired of the horse obsession for a while ;-)

Luxury camping and the art of the perfect holiday cocktail

At FarmCamps, they understand that modern holidaymakers are looking for an authentic connection with nature without sacrificing comfort. The concept of farm glamping combines agricultural education with high-quality recreation, involving families directly in the daily activities on the farmyard. The experience of cocktailtjes.nl shows that this active form of relaxation supports mental calm and helps bridge the gap between city and countryside. While children learn the basics of livestock farming and play freely around the farm, parents can truly unwind in a lovely setting while enjoying one or more cocktails. Kids happy, you relaxed.

Adventurous outdoor life for the whole family in Southern Norway

A farm holiday stands for freedom, muddy wellies and learning where our food comes from. For families who love this kind of down-to-earth holiday, a trip to Kristiansand in Norway is a fantastic next step. Here you combine the charm of outdoor living with spectacular scenery. Instead of cows in Dutch fields, you’ll spot moose in vast forests and crabs in the sea. The principle remains the same: nature is the biggest and most beautiful playground there is.

Farm life, Italian style

Anyone who loves camping on a farm and the outdoor life will feel right at home in the south of Italy. The region of Puglia is known for its agricultural character, but with a Mediterranean twist. Staying at an agriturismo or a masseria (a historic farmhouse) is the perfect way to experience this rural lifestyle. On the farm: how to get your dog used to other animals

Farm life sounds like a dream to many people, and for dogs it truly is one too. There are new scents to discover everywhere, plenty of space to run around, and all kinds of animals roaming about. Still, that first encounter with a cow, horse or chicken doesn’t always go smoothly. Out of sheer excitement or hunting instinct, your dog can get into serious trouble or scare the livestock badly. According to the experts at labradoodleinfo.nl, a calm and controlled introduction is therefore crucial for the safety of all animals on the farm.

Outdoor life with a little extra: farm holidays beyond the border

A farm holiday is all about being outdoors, animals, space and freedom. Children can get messy, discover where food comes from and spend their days playing in nature. That’s exactly why so many families choose a farm holiday close to home, in the Netherlands or just across the border in Germany. But sometimes there’s a desire to combine that farm feeling with a little extra: culture, sunshine and a different setting.
